He was born to a singer-songwriter father from New Zealand. He became a member of the boy band, The Collective, in 2012 after they were put together by the judges on the fourth season of Australia’s version of The X Factor. After placing third at the end of the competition, the band were signed by Sony Music Australia, under which they released their first mini album, The Collective. He left the band in 2015 to pursue a solo career. He is widely recognized for his music-related videos on his self-titled YouTube channel.
